What We Publish

Flora, Fauna, Food, Forest & Farming is an independent, open-access knowledge magazine that brings together ideas, experiences and insights from the people who study, practice and care for the natural world. We invite original articles, field experiences, research-based articles, review-based articles, technical articles, popular articles, case studies, success stories and knowledge-sharing pieces from researchers, scientists, students, teachers, farmers, extension professionals, conservationists, environmentalists, food practitioners and other individuals with valuable knowledge or experience to share. Our aim is to create a platform where good ideas can travel beyond boundaries—from laboratories to fields, from farms to communities, from forests to classrooms, and from one region to another.

Our five core areas are:

  • Flora — Plants, trees, seeds, botanical diversity and traditional plant knowledge and technologies.
  • Fauna — Wildlife, birds, insects, fisheries, animal science, veterinary, biodiversity and human–wildlife relationships.
  • Food — Traditional foods, local cuisines, grains, food culture, food technology, dairy technology and farm-to-table stories.
  • Forest — Forests, ecosystems, conservation, natural resources, sericulture and forest-dependent communities.
  • Farming — Agriculture, horticulture, soil, water, seeds, plant breeding, genetics, agri business, sustainable farming, technology and farmers’ innovations.

We also welcome relevant contributions covering ecology, forestry, agroforestry, fisheries, animal husbandry, environmental science, rural livelihoods, agricultural engineering, food systems, climate, sustainability and allied fields.
